There’s more than one way to get your glass edgework with Tecnoglass. You can choose from: Seamed, Polished and TecnoEdge.
|Seamed||The Sharp edges of the glass are removed by a belt seamer.||1/8” – 5/16”|
|Flat Ground with Arris||This is a machine edge of ﬂat form with a satin ﬁnish.||1/8” to 3/4”|
|Polished Ground with Arris||This is a machine edge of ﬂat form with arrised edges which has been polished.||1/8” to 3/4”|
|Miltered Edges||This is a ﬂat machined edge from a 1° to a 45°angle to the cut edge of the panel. The thickness of glass remaining at the edge is
|1/4” – 3/4”|
- Incorporating a mitered edge or silk-screened pattern must be approved before application.
- Laminated annealed glass can have ground, polished and mitered edges up to 2″ thickness.
- Tecnoglass recommends evaluating the aesthetics of ground, polished or mitered edges on heat-treated laminated glass because of the oﬀset edges (edgework must be done prior to heat treating).
- The potential for mismatched edges can occur on glass up to 1/8″ in thickness.
